Methodist Home for Children - Summerfest '08Joe Parke, Bandwidth.com employee
"Methodist Home for Children is right in line with the driving force behind Bandwidth Cares so it’s always been my hope that Bandwidth.com would be able to participate in this year’s Summerfest – any many many more to come. Summerfest is all about the kids. Kids who deserve to have a day that’s all about them. Most are in foster care or group homes because those that brought them into this world are unable or uninterested in loving. Bandwidth Cares gives those of us who are able and willing to serve others an outlet to do so."

Burton Elementary, Durham - Paint a School ProjectAmie Ashworth, Bandwidth.com employee
"The “Paint a School” mission at Burton Elementary was a fun, eye-opening and fullfilling experience. Walking into that elementary school and seeing first hand how meek and bland the hallways were was sad, but knowing that we were going to be the ones to change that was exciting. Hanging out with my co-workers; painting, cleaning and organizing the school, was such a productive way to spend time together. We all felt great about making the school a cleaner and brighter place for the kids; and enjoyed working together as a team to accomplish those goals. I only wish we were going to be there the first day back to school to see their faces!"

Habitat for Humanity - Habitat Halloween Bike Ride (11/1/08)Matias Daniels - Bandwidth.com employee
"The experience was very fulfilling in that it only takes such a little bit of ones own time to make so much of a difference. The event seemed to be a great success with over 500 pre-registered riders and countless walk on registration. I highly suggest it to anyone who has the time and is willing to participate again next year."

Race for the Cure - 5k FundraiserMeghan McInnis, Bandwidth.com employee
"The word got out that we were taking on a community cares project here at Bandwidth.com. I took this opportunity to e-mail a couple co-workers about the Race for a Cure in Raleigh. By then end of the day the e-mail that went out to 5 people had literally been passed around the entire company! We ended up with 25 race participants and tons of support from almost every person in the company. It was extremely humbling to see such selfless generosity of those wanted to give in some way. We sponsored an in house luncheon and raised about $300 from donations alone. In the end, we exceeded our goal of $1000 and had an amazing turn out. Race day was a mass sea of people and survivors there running and walking along side us on Hillsborough Street. This event was a phenomenal bonding experience and I know I’m speaking for the whole team by saying we would love to do it again!"
