The V Foundation for Cancer Research
was started in 1993 to honor Jim Valvano and is dedicated to funding research to find cures for cancer. Passion, friendship and commitment. These themes run deep in The V Foundation.


Make-A-Wish Foundation
grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.


Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure
is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.


The Foundation of Hope
promotes scientific research aimed at discovering the causes and potential cures for mental illness in order to develop a more effective means of treatment. Additionally, the Foundation is committed to raising community awareness and supporting effective treatment programs.


Big Brothers, Big Sisters
helps children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.


Durham Rescue Mission
is meeting, through the power of Jesus Christ, the needs of the whole person - spiritual, educational, emotional, physical, vocational, and social - so that those who are hurting may become fully functioning members of society.


Habitat for Humanity
is eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action.


Housing for New Hope
encourages and assists homeless people and other persons in crisis to move toward lives marked by increased levels of stability, dignity, hope and independence.


Methodist Home for Children
exists to build upon the social, physical, emotional and spiritual strengths of children, youth, and families, and to affirm their worth.


Pregnancy Support Services
provides alternatives to abortion by supporting women facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy, promoting sexual integrity with clients and in the community, and offering post abortion recovery support.


Raleigh Rescue Mission
is a shelter for the poor and homeless that rebuilds broken lives of men, women, and children in the community by ministering to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
